By Way of Introduction

Everyone can blog.

So I'm going to attempt it...again. This time, however, I would like this to be just about fathering using grace, a different approach to parenting, and one that I don't really know a lot about.

I mean, my wife knows more than I do, and I found that she has a great support network available to her online (and in real life). And there are probably far better blogs out there than this one about the fathering side of it, but that's the beauty of the internet: you don't have to search for something when you can just create a new one.

If you don't know what grace-based parenting, or grace-based discipline, is, check this out...or google it. Or bing it. But Crystal does a great job describing it. So, as a disclaimer, there will probably be things that I am completely ignorant about, and I'm just going to type it anyway, because what's the point of being a good father if you cannot just be honest? I want my children to be honest with me.

Hopefully this blogging will be a discipline/hobby that will help me ask questions and provide the answers I've found in a grammatically correct fashion to anyone who would be interested. Also maybe it will be a nice road map to help us stay on the track to raising kind, gentle, loving, independent, free-thinking children.

So, to wrap this up, my goal is to think out loud, ask questions to whomever (whoever?) is stopping by, ask advice, provide insight I've stumbled on, provide links, and you know...change the world one child at a time.
